Any decision about surgery requires an in-person evaluation.
CemLIF is a surgical procedure, and all surgery carries risks. As explained in our FAQs, the bone cement used in CemLIF is an FDA-cleared medical device used “off-label” in spinal surgery, and the CemLIF portion of the procedure is generally not covered by insurance. Whether CemLIF is appropriate for you, and its specific risks, benefits, and alternatives, can only be determined through consultation with Dr. Frenkel.
